Wilma Jewell King, 72, of Harlan, KY went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 13, 2021. She was born March 8, 1949 in Harlan, KY to the late Laura and Famous Branson. Jewell was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She believed in the Christian Faith and was adored by all who knew her.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry King; four brothers, Dallas Branson, Wallace Branson, Eugene Nolan Branson, and Dr. Daniel Clem-McKinley. Also, two sisters, Jaunita Goodin and Linda Hughes.
Survivors include her loving children, Kathy King Petrey of Harlan, Tammy King Morse and husband Dennis of Helena, AL, Marlene King of Harlan, and Jenell King Spurlock and husband Joseph of Harlan. Three brothers, Walter Branson of IL, Calvin Branson of Loyall, and Carmon Branson of KS. Nine grandchildren, Austin Shope, Jerrad Perkins, Megan (Matthew) Albanese, Alysson (Zac) Kelly Hembree, Cory (Kristen) Morse, Blake Morse, Clayton Alexander (Angel) Kelly, Olivia Kelly, and Gavon Spurlock. Three great grandchildren, Mason, Russell, and Carmella. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 18, 2021 at 7
PM in the Chapel of the Henson and Rich Funeral Home. Visitation will also be Tuesday from 5-7PM.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday May 19, 2021 at 11 AM at Resthaven Cemetery. Grandsons and Jason Woods will be serving as pallbearers.
