William H Lewallen (Bill), 77 of Loyall, KY was born on May 16, 1944, and passed away at Hazard Hospice Care Center on October 11, 2021, at 9:23PM from a brief illness. He was a member of the Lenarue Baptist Church for most of his life and believed in the Baptist Faith. He served in the Navy and was a retired Coal Miner.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill Lewallen and Doris Lewallen. His loving daughter, Billie Lewallen, wife Della Lewallen, all four grandparents, and a special friend, Clifford Garber.
He is survived by his wife, Willa Lewallen; his sister, Elizabeth Benge (Betty) of Pineville; his daughter, April Allen, and husband Robert of Cawood, KY; His grandkids, Hanna Allen, Justin Allen, and Cameron Lewallen all of Cawood. A special granddaughter, Tessa Allen; two nieces Deborah Hall of Barbourville, KY and Susan Searles and husband Shawn of Massachusetts; stepdaughters, Janice Daniels of Cranks, KY, and Tracey Griffith and husband Bentley of Cawood, KY. Along with his step grandkids, Amanda Carclen, Tabitha Saylor, Bradley Daniels, Heather Girton, and Megan Haynes. Also, a countless other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Friday October 15, 2021, at 2PM in the Chapel of the Henson and Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenny Clem and Rev. Joe Howard officiating. Burial will follow at the Day-Jackson Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Military Honors will be conducted by the Harlan County Honor Guard.
Visitation will also be on Friday at the funeral home from 12 PM until the funeral hour.
Family has respectfully requested that everyone attending please wear a mask due to the number of Covid cases.
