Walter Thomas “Tommy” Goss, age 71, of Pinellas County Florida died on January 4, 2020 with his family at his side. He was a former business owner in Harlan for many years. A graduate of Harlan High School, he was in the marching band and on the football team. He held a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Kentucky. After graduation, he accepted a position with B.F. Goodrich Chemical Company Louisville Plant and later the Calvert City Plant.
He was a member of the Teetersville Baptist Church and attended Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Florida. He was a past President of the Harlan Rotary Club. In Florida, he was the Vice-President of the Anona Condo Association.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Walter H. and Pauline Carroll Goss. His is survived by his three children, Jennifer Goss Neal (Sean), Thomas Goss (fiancé Kimberly Kelly), Christopher Goss, and Jan Goss, his ex-wife and life-long friend, all of Largo, Florida, his brother, Tim Goss (Ginny) of Harlan, his aunt Betty Goss and four nephews and cousins are left to mourn his passing.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
