Vivian "Merlene" Jackson

Vivian “Merlene” Jackson, 78 of Morris, IL. formerly of Kenvir, KY. Passed from this life peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born September 23, 1940 in Kenvir, KY. Merlene was a member of the Ambassadors for Christ, a member of the board of the directors for Under His Wings and an advisor for the Grapevine Mission.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Charles Monhollen SR & Ruby Enix Monhollen; her husband, Hiram T. Jackson SR; her daughter, V. Diane Jackson Holderfield; her sisters, Margaret Monhollen & Judy Monhollen.

She is survived by her loving children, Judy Jackson Pershey & husband, Mark and Hiram T. Jackson JR; her grandchildren, Jennifer Holderfield  Modro & husband, Justin, John T. Holderfield, Megan Pershey Denman & husband, Matthew, Lily Holderfield Kratochvil and Nathaniel Pershey; her great grandchildren, Jaxson Modro, Jameson Modro, Raven Holderfield & David Denman; her sister, Arzanna Cox & husband Doug; her brothers, Charles Monhollen Jr. & wife Brenda and Jack Monhollen & wife Dale. And several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 12:30 PM in the chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with Bro. Eugene Enix officiating. Burial will follow in the Monhollen Family Cemetery at Kenvir, KY. Visitation will also be held Monday from 11-AM until the funeral hour.
