Vera F. (Fields) Arvin

Vera F. Arvin, 88, of Shelbyville, TN, formerly of Cawood, KY, left this world on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. She was born on April 16, 1933 in Cawood, KY to the late Daniel and Delta Mitchell Fields. Vera was a retired schoolteacher and loved by all who knew her.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, August Virgil Arvin and her son, Danny Guy Sears; two brothers, Green Bailey Fields, and Charley Ben Fields and one sister, Jeanette Looney.

Survivors include her loving children, Ben Sears and wife Tina of Wallins, Gus Arvin of Shelbyville, TN, and Greg Arvin and wife Jenny of Hampton, VA. Vanessa Dickenson and husband Tommy of Fairborn, OH. One brother, Clarence Fields of Haymarket, VA. One sister, Lou Anna Stringer, and husband Ronnie of Cawood. Eight grandchildren, David Sears and wife Kristy, Danielle Osborne and husband Ricky, Lacey Sears, Alex Arvin, Gustavus P Arvin, Bailey Dickenson, Rebecca Dickenson, and Blake Arvin. Three great grandchildren, Averi Sears, Parker Osborne, and Olivia Osborne.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday May 15, 2021 at 11
AM at the Fields Cemetery at Cawood, KY with the Rev. Franklin Stewart officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
