Teddy Ray King, age 66, of Harlan, Kentucky, passed away on November 9, 2025, in Lexington, Kentucky. Born and raised in Cawood, Kentucky, Teddy attended school in Cawood and spent his life surrounded by family, faith, and hard work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Nancy King, and his brother, Tim King.
Teddy is survived by his son, Teddy King (Eliza King); grandchildren Amber Garrett (Cody Garrett), Hailey King, Gunnar Jenkins, Caysen Jacobs, and Braylan King; and great-grandchildren Leann Mitchell, Remington Mitchell, Gracelyn Garrett, and Paisley King. He is also survived by his brother, Garry King and wife Teresa and a special nephew, Kristopher and wife Daryn, and many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
A retired coal miner, Teddy took great pride in his work and in providing for his family. He had a deep faith in God and was known for helping anyone who needed it. Family meant everything to him, and his kindness and laughter will always be remembered.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 5:30-PM in the chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. John Carter officiating. Visitation will also be Friday, from 3:30 until the funeral hour.
