Shelby Middleton

Shelby Middleton, 29 of Cawood, KY entered Heaven on Sunday, January 4, 2026. She was born November 27, 1996, in Harlan. Shelby was an employee of Senture LLC as a customer service representative and believed in the Church of God Faith.

She is preceded in death by her father, Dorman Smith; her grandparents, Hobert and Tonnie Middleton and Lois Smith.

Survivors include her children, Paxton Middleton and Remington Smith; her mother, Sheila Middleton; her brother, Dustin (Kallie) Barker of Cawood and her sisters, Shonda (Jonas) White of Richmond, KY and Shana Middleton of Richmond, KY. Her grandparents, Brad and Shirley Clark of Cumberland, KY and her stepfather, Eddie Barker of Cumberland, KY. Her special cousin, Heather Hicks of Cranks, KY and her special companion, Shawn Smith of Pansy, KY along with several aunts, uncles, relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 7-PM in the chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. John Carter officiating. The family will receive friends also on Thursday from 5-PM until the funeral hour.

Graveside services will be held Friday, January 9, 2026, at 11-AM at the Middleton Cemetery at Cawood with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations to be made to the Henson & Rich Funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
