Sharon Elaine Morgan 75 of Wallins was born July 15,1949 as the oldest of four to Beulah and Farmer Morgan. Being Farmer Morgan’s daughter was a great source of pride for her. She departed this life in the arms of her daughter and sister, surrounded by family and friends on October 22, 2024.
She lived most of her life in Harlan, KY working mostly at Home Health and then retiring in February after 20 years at Harlan Health and Rehab as House Keeping Supervisor and Activities Coordinator. She was even a Top Ten Finalist for the Supportive Care Award in 2023.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Beulah and Farmer Morgan, her baby brother Kelly Morgan, her much loved sister in law Dianne Morgan, and a beloved niece, Andrea Joseph.
She was a member of the Harlan Baptist Church. A collector of all holiday decorations and a lover of flowers. She was a fiercely devoted sister, friend and mother. Her beloved daughter Amy was truly the joy of her life, the apple of her eye and what she would consider her life’s greatest accomplishment.
Left to mourn her passing are her daughter Amy Todd and fiancé Josh Clem, Her sister Kim Mason and Husband Gary of Wallins, Her Brother Micheal Morgan and Nancy Ettinger of Grand Rivers, KY, Her aunt Lucille Combs of Dillsboro, Indiana, Her Favorite, Nephew Adam Joseph and Wife Heather of Wallins, Nieces Amanda Triplett (Chad) of Paducah, KY and Melissa Noles (Todd) of Grand Rivers, KY. Bethany Rowe (Chris) and Chelly Morgan of Harlan. Nephew Cody Morgan ( Jeanna) of Sevierville, TN. Her great nieces and nephews Aiden Morgan, Isabella and Phaedra O’Brien, Lucas, Spencer and Skylar Noles, Ellie Joseph, Cash Joseph, Hunter and Arianna Green, Conner and Braxton Creech, and Clara Brock. Her adopted daughter Nina Simms and daughter Janae Simms. Long time friend Jeannie Burke and a host of other family, friends, church family, neighbors, co-workers, former employees, and nursing home residents.
