Russell “Pucker” Griffey, 46 of Coxton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at his residence. He was born March 6, 1973 in Harlan, KY. Russell was a retired coal miner and believed in the Church of God faith.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Angela Turner.
Survivors include his fiancé, Heather Osborne; his parents; Ronald Griffey & Cathy Turner; his four children, James “Robbie” Griffey, Jimmy Griffey, Cierra Burkhart & Breanna Turner; his three grandchildren, Olivia Turner, Brooklyn Maggard & Bentley Maggard; his two sisters, Heather Pennington & Chelsea Griffey; Four nephews, Keith Turner, Dalton Johnson, Dalan Turner & Dakota Turner; Special friends, Leroy Scott & wife Debbie. And several other relatives and friends also survive.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, at 6-PM in the chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. Darrell Turner officiating. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, from 4-6 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to help with funeral expenses.
