Ruby (Napier) Spurlock

Ruby Spurlock, 96, of Cawood, KY went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 8, 1928, in Harlan County, KY to the late George Washington Napier and Lena Clem Napier. Mrs. Spurlock was a home maker all her life, and a Faithful member of the Cawood Church of God for seventy-two years.

Other than her parents, she is in preceded in death by her husband, Hart Spurlock. Two sons, Mark Spurlock and Kyle Spurlock, one granddaughter, Angela Rhea, and several siblings.

She is survived by her loving children, Darlene Nix and husband Don, Susan Johnson and husband Bill, Amy McArthur and husband Dave, Hart Spurlock and wife Donna, and James Spurlock & wife Jeronica. Fourteen grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and two daughter in laws, Dianne Spurlock & Cathy Spurlock. Also several nieces, nephews, relatives, & friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 1PM in the Chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. John Carter and the Rev. Spencer Burkhart officiating. Burial will follow in the Browning Cemetery of Cranks, KY with family & friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 12PM until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
