Roxanna Jackson Obituary

Roxanna (Roxie) Louise Jackson, 45, of Speedwell TN passed away on September 14, 2021

Roxie was born and raised in Harlan County and attended Harlan Highschool. She spent many years as a daycare provider and preschool assistant at Sunshine Preschool. She loved her work there and loved each and every child she taught. She always enjoyed creating and crafting things for others and turned that hobby into her own small business. Roxie enjoyed making everyone around her smile and laugh. She was always known as the jokester and clown. She had a heart of gold and loved everyone around her, especially her family. She loved being a grandmother. Roxie left a big impression on every single person that she met. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt, and BoBo to so many.

Roxie is preceded in death by her son Cody Scott Maggard, her father Scott Broughton, her uncle Harvey Johnson, her brother John Maggard, her in-laws Raymond Jackson and Ken and Pam Jackson.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Ray Jackson.

Her children, Tyler Maggard of Harlan KY, Rhianna and Madison Jackson of Speedwell TN, Scotty Williams of Harlan KY, Zachary Jackson of Harlan KY and Jessica Jackson of Greeneville TN.  Her daughter-in-law Ashley Maggard, of Corbin KY.

Her grandchildren Paisley and CJ Maggard of Hazard KY. Her mother, Carol Broughton of Speedwell TN. Her sisters, Katina (Ralph) Yount of Cawood KY, Kimberlee Broughton of Tazewell TN, Frances Maggard (Danielle Saylor) of Harlan KY and Heather (Allen) Fulst of Harlan KY. Her sister-in-law Wendy Felker. Her nieces and nephews Alex (Derrick) Hoskins of Rosspoint, KY, and Carson Yount of Cawood KY. Her great nieces and nephews Blakelee and Timber Scott Hoskins of Rosspoint Ky. Also her special Cousins Tim (Jennifer) Johnson of Russellville TN and special friends Liz & Shane Shackleford of Speedwell TN, Brandi & Sherry Bingham of Baxter KY, her special group of Sunshine Girls, and many many more.

A memorial service will be held from 5-7PM in the chapel of the Henson and Rich Funeral Home on Friday September 17,2021.
