Rick Smith

Rick Smith, 65 of Baxter, was born on September 20, 1957, in Gulston, KY and entered Heaven on January 1, 2023 at his home.  Rick was a retired Coal Miner and believed in the Holiness Faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ambries Smith, and Cora Long Smith and one brother, Monroe Smith.

He is survived by his son, Ricky Smith. Three sisters, Claudetta and husband JR Cavins, Shirley and husband Darrell Hansel, Beulah and husband Ken Griffith. Five brothers, Ambries Jr and wife Debbie Smith, Mike and wife Sharon Smith, Dennis and wife Lisa Smith, Jim and wife Tammy Smith and John Smith. Three grandchildren; one Aunt Polly Debusk; four uncles, Fred and wife Linda Hensley, Johnny Hensley, Tim and wife Linda Hensley and Howard Hensley. His sister-in-law Linda Smith, and a special friend, Gary Grant. Also, a host on nieces, nephews’ cousins, family, and friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, January 6, 2023, from 5-7PM in the Chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with Memorial Services at 7PM with Rev. Spencer Burkhart officiating.
