Raymond “Ray” Scott Jackson, 44 of Speedwell, TN passed away on Tuesday October 5, 2021. Ray was born and raised in Harlan KY, where he met his wife of 21 years. He was an avid car and truck enthusiast and enjoyed both admiring and working on them. He also enjoyed dirt track racing. Ray worked in many different professions over the years and was most recently employed as a truck driver for T-JAK Enterprises. He was known as “Woody” to his trucker friends. He loved to joke around and pick on anyone around him.
Ray is preceded in death by his wife, Roxie Jackson, his stepson, Cody Maggard, and his parents Raymond Jackson and Pam & Ken Jackson.
He is survived by his children, Scotty (Beth) Williams of Harlan KY, Jessica Jackson of Greenville TN, Zachary Jackson of Wallins KY, Rhianna and Madison Jackson, of Speedwell TN, and Tyler Maggard of Harlan KY. Grandchildren Paisley and CJ Maggard of Hazard KY, and one other grandchild in Greeneville TN. nHis sister, Wendy Felker of Means KY. Nieces and Nephews Laura (Jeff) Heckenberg of Potosi MO, Hailey Felker of Forsyth MO, Makennah, Jeremiah and Noah Felker of Means KY. Great niece Isabella Heckenberg of Potosi MO.
Special friends Fuzz and Angi Ellison of Wallins KY, Shane and Liz Shackleford of Speedwell TN, and a large host of other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held from 5-7PM in the chapel of the Henson and Rich Funeral Home on Friday October 8, 2021.
