Randy Byrd Lewis

Randy Byrd Lewis, 38, of Verda went to his Heavenly home on Monday, August 17, 2020. He was born July 26, 1982 in Harlan. Randy was a former coal miner who enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He also believed in the Church of God faith.

He is preceded in death by his father, Randy Lewis; his grandparents, Havard and Clara Lewis, and Hubert and Geneva Perry, and his aunt, Crazy Daisy.

Randy is survived by his mother, Lynn Lewis and children of Jones Creek, Brittany Lewis, Shaylea Lewis, Austin and mother, Rachel Brock; Oliva and mother, Jessica, Lexie and mother fiancé Sophia Eleftheriou. His brothers, Dustin Lewis and wife, Michelle, Jacob Lewis and wife, Racheal all of Evarts. His nieces and nephews, Elijah, Harleigh, Scarlett, Bryson, Sammy, Kasen “Big Head”, and Alyssa. His stepfather, Scott Coker, his special uncle, Delmer Perry of Jones Creek. His special aunts and uncles, Lola “Quarter” and Donald Jackson and Michael and Jenny Perry all of Somerset. His special cousins, Hubert and Tammy Jackson of Coxton and several other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 7-PM in the chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with Gary Lewis officiating. Visitation will also be Thursday, starting at 5-PM until the funeral hour.

In accordance with phase 2 of the COVID-19 event dated June 20, 2020 by the Governor of Kentucky, capacity restrictions and social distancing guidelines will be followed during all services including wearing of face coverings for the safety of our families
