Oscar Grubbs, 70 of Cawood passed away peacefully on Monday September 27, 2021, at his home. He was born on June 18, 1951, to the late Blane and Sudie Grubbs. Oscar worked as a custodian at Black Mountain Elementary School for many years.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Darlene Allen Grubbs, four brothers, Harvey, Hayward, Franklin, and McKinley (Ken) Grubbs, and his nephew, Kenneth Wayne Grubbs.
Those left to cherish his memories are his two loving daughters, Heather Grubbs (BJ Buttrey), and Allyson (Nathan) Cramer all of Chattanooga, TN; two grandsons, Austin and Myles of Chattanooga, TN; four brothers, Lewis and Lawrence of Pontiac, MI, Carl, and George of Cawood, KY, and four sisters, Bonnie Haynes of Pontiac, MI, Mae Ruark (Don) of Franklin, OH, Pauline (Bill) McEulaine of Gratis, OH, and Dixie (Lyndell) Davidson of Georgia. Also, a sister-in-law, Freda Grubbs of Cawood, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Friday October 1, 2021, at 7PM in the Chapel of the Henson and Rich Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Saturday October 2, 2021, at 12 PM at the Grubbs Cemetery in Cawood, KY with family and friends serving as Pallbearers.
Visitation will also be on Friday from 5-7PM at the Funeral Home. Family requests that everyone attending to please wear a face covering while attending services.
