Morris "Banny" Clem

Morris “Banny” Clem, 74 of Grays Knob, went home to be with the Lord on Monday following and extended illness. Banny was a retired coal miner with 30 years of service and believed in the Baptist Faith.

His parents, Sillis and Elizabeth Douglas Clem; his brothers, Bob Clem, Chuck Clem and Roy Clem; his sister, Yvonne Shoemaker precede Banny in death.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Elizabeth Clem of Grays Knob; his daughters, Melissa Newman and husband, Steve of Grays Knob, Teresa Sawyers and husband, Jason of Harlan and Darlene Fields and husband, Kenny of Berea. His grandchildren, Megan and Chad Dodson, Claire Sawyers, Brady, Drew, Gabe and Scarlett Fields; his brother, Doug Clem and wife Lois of Jacksboro, TN. His sisters, Diane Wilson of Morristown, TN, Joyce Jackson and husband, Bob of Kettering, OH and Alice Fannon of Norwood, OH. And several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 6 - PM in the Chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Clem officiating. Visitation will also be Saturday, from 4-6-PM. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, at 12 - PM at the Clem-Hall Cemetery at Grays Knob. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
