Mary Lee (Hensley) McArthur

On Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at her home, at Smith, KY Mary Lee Hensley McArthur went to be with her Lord. She was born on May 6, 1947, at Cranks, KY to Robert Hensley and Maxine Ramsey Hensley. She was a home maker and member of the Smith Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Glen Hensley and Freddy Hensley.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ed McArthur; her children, David (Amy) McArthur and Donna (Hart) Spurlock. Her brothers, Bobby Joe (Carlene) Hensley, Tommy (Linda) Hensley, Paul Wayne (Teresa) Hensley. Her sisters, Brenda Eversole, Peggy (Danny) Owens and Debra Vandagriff. Her grandchildren, Alen Paul (Stephanie) McArthur, Liza (Mack) Vanover, Mary Beth (John) Stepp and Jacob (Anna) Spurlock. Her seven great grandchildren whom she adored, Brantley McArthur, Ellis Stepp, Nora Stepp, Landon Spurlock, Jacob Reed Spurlock, Vivian Vanover and Tessa Vanover. Also, her long-time special friend Pauline Harbor and a host of nieces, nephews, family friends and her church family.

Mary’s family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of the Bluegrass along with Lisa Perry and Alli Simpson, RN and Home Health for all the great care given to Mary.

Family and friends will gather on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 12 noon at Resthaven Cemetery Chapel for a service with Rev. Clarence Ramsey and Rev. Spencer Burkhart officiating with burial following.
