Mary Ann Jessie 69, of Dayhoit passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. She was born on March 12, 1951. She was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church, Concerned Citizens Political Group, and she was very instrumental in creating the Dayhoit Memorial Park. Mary Ann was her own unique self. She was a down to earth, dog loving, caring, and an all-around beautiful soul. She always brought joy to those around her. Mary Ann’s contagious smile and infectious personality will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents John, and Myrtle Gosnell. Her son William “Billy” Nagel III. Five sisters Ruby “Sis” Green, Jessie “Jet” Cottrell, Gracie Laws, Bobbie Alley and Frances Sargent. Four brothers, Charlie “Dink” Gosnell, Ernest “Oopie” Gosnell, Robert Gosnell, and Carlyle Gosnell. A sister-in-law Judy Stearns.
Survivors include her loving husband Roger Jessie. Daughter Rae Nagel. Stepson Chris Jessie. Two grandchildren Megan Stewart and Skyler Stewart. One sister Thelma Roddy. Brother in laws Jr. (Dee) Sneed, Miles (Shirley) Baldwin, and Norman Stearns. Special friends Joanne Noe, Helen Ellison, James Howard, and Mary Walters. A host of many nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives who loved and adored her that are left to cherish her memory. Mary Ann loved her friends and family unconditionally and her memory will live on forever.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday January 29, 2021 at 7pm at the Riverside Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Heck officiating. Visitation will also be Friday starting at 5pm until the funeral hour. Graveside Services will be conducted on Saturday January 30, 2021 at 11 AM at the Resthaven Cemetery in Keith, KY with Brian Hale, Brad Howard, Michael Cavins, Paul Curry, Scott Moore and Needham Saylor serving as Pallbearers.
