Margie (Moody) Alford

Margie Alford, 92 of Harlan, was born on January 9, 1929 at Gate City, Virginia and entered Heaven on May 9, 2021. She and her late husband, Paul Alford was the former owners & operators of several business in Harlan: Alford Shell, Capital Cleaners and Jacks Drive-In and she believed in the Pentecostal Faith.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Moody and Lona Hammell Moody; her sisters, Betty Burnett and Pauline Ball and her brother, Ted Moody.

She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews along with her church family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 until 6 PM with funeral services at 6PM in the Chapel of Henson & Rich Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Hughes officiating. Burial services will follow on Wednesday at Resthaven Cemetery Chapel at 11AM. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Face coverings are required to attend services. Please use social distancing guidelines.
