Magdalene Meade

Magdalene Meade, 67 of Evarts passed away on Wednesday January 19, 2022, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born on September 19, 1954, in Wise, Virginia to the Charles Mefford and Leona Collins Pitts. Magdalene was a mom and grandmother to all those who loved her, and she was the best loving aunt. She had a courageous smile, and a spunky attitude that will be missed by all those who loved her.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Mefford and her sister, Rebecca Mullins. Also, the father of her children, Goffery Earl Bevins and her husband, Harry Lee Meade.

Those left to cherish her memories are her loving children, Steve Bevins, Emily Bevins (Jay Kelding) both of Wise, VA, Chastity Holden (Billy) of Evarts, Ky, and Chad Bevins (Victoria) of Newberry, SC; three grandchildren, Toni Holden Turner (Gage), Zachary Perry, and Warren Bevins; three greatgrandchildren, Michael, Makenzie, and Aiden; three sisters, Emma Stillwell, Erma Collins, and Janice Fortune all of Virginia. A host of several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends also survive.

Magdalene’s wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
