Linda Lou Bowers

Linda Lou Bowers was born on March 26, 1931 and passed away on January 10, 2021. Daughter of the late  I. E. and Ruby Gross of Texas. She is the widow of the late Dr. William E. Bowers. She was a graduate of North Texas University. Linda was a long-time member of the Harlan United Methodist Church, where she was secretary for many years. She is survived by her 3 children W. E. Bowers III of Frankfort, Kentucky, Lisa Bowers of Forest, Illinois, and Tina Bowers of Louisville, Kentucky. A very special friend & Caretaker Shawn Miller of Harlan. Linda loved to sew, quilt, and craft. She was a long-time member of the Harlan Home Makes, the Women’s Club, a former leader of the Brownies & Girl Scouts, and many of other achievements.

Instead of flowers, the family asks to please send donations to the Harlan United Methodist Church or Christ Hands.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
