Larry Farmer, 80 of Baxter, passed away on Wednesday July 7, 2021, at his home. He was a retired teacher with the Harlan County Public Schools, where he had taught at James A Cawood High School for many years. Larry was a Veteran of the US Air Force and served during the Vietnam War, and believed in the Baptist Faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Lou Belle Thomas Farmer, and his loving wife, Dillie “Mickey” Farmer.
Those left to cherish his memories, are his son, Daniel Lee Farmer, his two brothers, Ronald Farmer, and Robert Farmer, and two nephews, Matthew, and Joseph Farmer. Also, a host of relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Friday July 9, 2021, at 11 AM in the Chapel of the Henson and Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. Dillard Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with Military Burial Honors by the Harlan County Honor Guard.
Visitation will also be on Friday from 10-11AM at the funeral home.
