Kelly Shelton Brown

Kelly Shelton Brown, 41, of Cawood, KY was born July 18, 1982, in Harlan and passed away Friday, November 17, 2023, in Harlan. Kelly was a homemaker and believed in the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Laotan Thompson Shepherd, her grandmother, her aunt and both grandfathers.

Survivors include her husband, Chris Brown of Cawood, her father, Carl Shepherd of Cranks; her daughter, Courtney Shelton and husband Hobert Cornett of Harlan; her son, Travis Shelton and wife Sunnie of Cranks. Her grandmother, Elvie Brock of Baxter; her grandchildren, Emilynn Cornett, Maddison Shelton and Nova Shelton; her special little big brother, Carl Shepherd II of Cranks; her niece and nephew, Skylar Shepherd and Riley Shepherd and several other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 1PM in the chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in the Thompson-Rhymer Cemetery at Cranks, KY with family and friends will serving as pallbearers.

A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 12-PM until the funeral hour of 1PM.
