John "Jay" Howard

John “Jay” Howard, 81, of Lawnvale, KY died on on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. He was born August 5, 1942, in Lawnvale, KY. Jay was a master carpenter and a Lay Pastor with the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia “Jo” Howard; his parents, Ernest and Rebecca Howard; his sons, Jarvis Howard, John Howard and James Howard and several siblings precede him is death.

Survivors include his loving children, Cynthia Hall of Kingsport, TN and Vanessa Land and husband Tom of Corbin, KY; also seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 1-PM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church at Baxter, KY with Pastor Mykal Ringstaff officiating.

Visitation will also be held Friday, February 9, 2024, from 11-AM until the funeral hour at the church. Private graveside services will follow services at the Jay Howard Cemetery in Lawnvale, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
