John Christian

John Christian, 73, of Dizney, entered Heaven on Thursday July 08, 2021, after complications from ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). He was born on August 25, 1947, to the late Howard Christian and Doris Kinner in Dayton, OH. John was a self-employed entrepreneur and was great at everything he done. He was a1965 graduate of Evarts High School and Eastern Kentucky University. A member of the Yocum Creek Baptist Church, former coal operator, logger, car salesmen, and had many other great accomplishments.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandmother, Mable Middleton Scott; his in laws, Johnny, and Thelma Pace; a brother-in-law, Johnny Lee Pace, and his sister-in-law, Jean Renee Lilly.

Those left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 53 years, Jane Christian; his two sons, Jason Christian and wife, Rhonda of Harlan, KY and Keith Christian and wife, Candi of Knoxville, TN. Two grandchildren, Taylor and Tyler Christian of Knoxville, TN and one sister, Carol and husband, Carl White of Marion, IN. Also, his niece, Jana Albre Trotter and husband Alex, and nephew, Joshua Dale Lilly. A host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Monday July 12, 2021, at 2 PM in the Chapel of the Henson and Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Jones, Rev. Astor Simpson, and Rev. Freeman Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Patterson, Les Hurst, Larry Caudill, Roger Bowman, George Middleton, Mitchell Cozart, David Mcintyre, and Tyler Christian. Honorary Pallbearers Todd Ellis, Rev. Frank Howard, Bob Shepherd.

Visitation will also be on Monday from 12-2 PM at the funeral home.
