Joe Johnson

Joe Johnson, 62, of Coldiron, KY entered heaven on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at the Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY.  He was born December 15, 1958, in Harlan, KY.  Joe a retired coal truck drive for Lemar Trucking and believed in the Pentecostal faith.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and China Parson Johnson, and a sister, Patricia Sparks.  

Joe leaves to cherish a lifetime of memories, his children: Betty Jo Johnson of Wallins, Shelly Johnson and Joe Johnson Jr., of Coldiron, his grandchildren: Cody Collett, Brayden Smith, Jackson, Myla, China, and Everleigh Brock. His sisters: Charlene and husband Vernon Lemar of Elcomb, and Diane and husband Boone Collett of Coldiron.  Special niece: Hope Lemar and special friend Lisa Ramey, the mother of his children: Abbie Brock and a host of nieces, nephews family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021, between 5-7 pm in the chapel of Henson and Rich Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm with the Rev. Kenny Clem and Brother Vernon Lemar II. 

Burial services will be Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 11 am at the Laymon Cemetery at Coldiron, KY. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
