Jimmy Carpenter

James “Jimmy” Carpenter, 48, of Kenvir, KY went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. He was born October 8, 1973, in Harlan, KY. Jimmy had been a Deputy Jailer having been employed by the Harlan Co. Detention Center for many years. He also believed in the Methodist Faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James, and Shirley Carpenter.

Jimmy is survived by his sister, Karen Ison & husband Frank of Benham, KY. His nieces and nephews, Emma Ison and Franklin Ison both of Harlan, KY, Mary Ison and fiancée Dalton Wellborn of Dante, VA; his great niece, Evelyn Rose Wellborn; His aunt, Betty Ward of Corbin, KY, and his special cousins, Annette Marsee, Matt Marsee, Matthew Marsee, Olivia McClain, and Paula West. Several other cousins, relatives, and friends also survive.

A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, June 26, 2022, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM in the chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home.
