Jim Rich

James “Jim” Rich, 86 of Afton, TN formerly of Harlan, was born on March 31, 1937, and died November 11, 2023, in Greenville, TN. He was a graduate of Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in Louisville, KY, a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for 59 years, owner and operator of Rich Funeral Home for 45 years, a former Private Pilot, 60 year member of Harlan Masonic Lodge, a member of Scottish Rite and York Rite, a member of the Kosair Shrine in Louisville, KY and Oleika Shrine in Lexington, KY.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Cleo Rich and Emma Payne Rich.

He is survived by his wife Sue Skidmore Rich, his children Kathy Rich Smith, Jim “Feller” Rich and wife Gretta, Paula Rich Brown and husband, Michael. His grandchildren Christopher Felosi and wife Ashley, Justin Felosi (Kelsey), Jacob Rich and wife Lindsey, Emma Rich, and Tyler Brown. His great grandchildren Dahlia Felosi, Sawyer Felosi, Jaxson Felosi, Hazel Rich and Sadie Felosi. His siblings Johnny Rich and Frances Jones.

Private services were held, and burial followed at Resthaven Cemetery.
