Jerry Hodge

Jerry Hodge, 79, of Grays Knob, KY went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 27, 2026, at his residence. He was born September 22, 1946, in Knox County KY. Jerry was a retired coal operator, loved everything outdoors, especially fishing and loved to cut up with people. He was a Shriner and a member of the Mountain Masonic Lodge 187 F&AM and attended the Sunny Acres First Church of God.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nute and Thelma Hodge, his brother, Henderson Hodge and his sister, Marie Broughton.

Survivors include his loving wife, Charlotte Hodge of Grays Knob; his children, Shannon Lambert and husband Walter of Barbourville, KY, Sherry Hodge of West Virginia, Jacinta Swiney and husband David of Rutledge, TN, Brittany Caudill and Malachi Hodge of Grays Knob, KY. His grandchildren, Sasha Jackson, Daniel Chadwell, Ryan Helton, Cody Helton, Kearia Richards and Neaveh Branson and thirteen great-grandchildren. Also, his sister, Martha Gambrel and a host of relatives and friends also survive.

His family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 5-7PM at Sunny Acres First Church of God and from 11AM until the funeral hour on Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 1PM at the Church with Rev. Stan Blevins officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with Cody Helton, Logan Richards, Christian Jackson, Jerry Vaughn, Perry Jackson and David Swiney serving as pallbearers.
