Jerry Engle

Jerry Engle, 79 of Gulston, was born on January 5, 1945, at Yancy, KY and died December 21, 2024, at his home due to a long illness.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Beacom and Chyna Engle and Floyd and Myrtle Bargo whom raised him as their son. His father, Johnny and stepmother Shelby Engle and his mother Willa and stepfather Ralph Napier. His brothers, Johnny “Rabbit” Engle, Ralph Napier, Roger Napier, Charles Napier and Curtis Napier. His sister, Johnnie Kay Engle. His special nephew, Johnny Lee Whitaker.

He is survived by his children, Matthew Lankford, Betty Russell and Angie Phillips. His brothers, Jerome Engle, Tommy Engle, Tim Engle and Tony Engle. His sisters, Billie Sargent, Jackie Griffin, Teresa Whitaker and Tammy Howard. His sister-in-law, Susan Engle. His grandchildren, Kendra Green, Kacie Russell, Bridget Robinson, Casey Robinson, Ace Lankford and Krew Lankford. His great grandchildren, Kolbi, Gunnar and Maci Green, Kyson Haught, Laelynn Combs, Braelynn Robinson, Brooklynn Robinson and Madilynn Edwards, along with several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, December 27, 2024, from 11-AM to 1-PM in the Chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 1o’clock with Rick Burkhart officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
