Janice (Hall) Sturgill

Janice Sturgill, 81, of Wallins Creek, KY went home to be with the Lord on Thursday May 04, 2023 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born July 22, 1941, to the late Willard & Katherine Hall. Janice had been employed by the Harlan Independent School System as a Cafeteria worker for more than 20 years and believed in the Pentecostal Faith.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Keston “Bud” Sturgill, her son, Fred Sturgill, and her brothers & sisters.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Merita Doan & husband Frank of Tremont, KY. Three grandchildren, Brandy Ford & husband James of Evansville, IN, Beth Hensley & husband Ryan of Harlan, KY, and Kyle Sturgill & wife Kristy of London, KY; Six great grandchildren, Aiden Ford, Aspen Ford, Harlee Shaw Hensley, Emilee Shaw Hensley, Kaylee Sturgill, & Keston Sturgill. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, & friends also survive.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday May 06, 2023, at 1PM in the Chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with Brother Ryan Hensley officiating.

The family will also receive friends from 11AM-1PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
