Janice (Scearse) Kelly

Janice Sue Kelley, 72 of Elkhart, Indiana formerly of Pine Mountain, KY, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at her sister’s home in Rosspoint. She was born on June 22, 1948, in Pine Mountain, KY. Ms. Kelley was a retired LPN with 33 years of service and believed in the Baptist Faith.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Merle Lee Kelley; her parents, Franklin P. Scearse and Arlena “Tena” Scearse. Her brothers, William “Butch” Scearse, Reed Allen Scearse, James Kenneth Scearse, David Franklin Scearse, and Douglas Gene Scearse, and her sisters, Juanita Cornett, and Glessie “Bobbie” Davidson.

Survivors include her three children, Mark Kelley of Elkhart, Indiana, Michael Kelley of Goshen, Indiana and Daryl Lee Kelley of Goshen, Indiana and eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Her three brothers, Roger Dale Scearse of Indianapolis, Indiana, Robert W. Scearse of Pine Mountain, KY and Earl Tracy Scearse of Pine Mountain, KY. Her two sisters, Mallie Scearse of Rosspoint, KY and Margaret Warren of Midwest City of OK also a host of several nieces, nephews, and relatives also survive.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 13, 2022, from 1-3PM in the Chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at the Chapel Hills Cemetery in Osceola, Indiana.
