Jacqueline Gail (Knuckles) Ramsey

Jacqueline Gail Ramsey, 81, of Gulston, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, following a long illness.

Jackie was born on September 4, 1944, in Yancey, Kentucky, and remained a lifelong resident of Harlan County, where she was known for her kindness, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family and faith. She spent her life as a devoted homemaker and house cleaner, roles she carried out with care, quietly putting the needs of others before her own. She was also known for her hospitality and sense of humor.

On September 2, 1973, Jackie was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, a decision that shaped the rest of her life. She found great joy and purpose in sharing the Bible’s promises with others and was deeply committed to her faith and congregation. Her warm spirit and strong convictions left a lasting impression on those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Virgie Knuckles; the father of her sons, Ralph Ramsey, Jr.; her beloved granddaughter, Megan Ramsey; her brothers, Lawrence “Ken” Knuckles and Roger Knuckles; her sister-in-law, Betty Knuckles; and her special friend, Stella Gibson.

Jackie leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her three sons, Terry Ramsey (Linda), Charlie Ramsey (Tasha), and Rodney Ramsey (Annetta); her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Cushard (Joel), Caleb Ramsey, and Seth Ramsey; her sisters/brothers-in-law, Myrtle Knuckles, Wayne Ramsey (Wanda), and Judy Biechler (Carl); her cousin and special friend, Rachel Fee; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends whom she loved very much.

Visitation will be held on June 10 beginning at 12:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 10492 N US HWY 119, Totz, KY. A memorial service will follow afterward at 2:00 PM.

Jackie will be remembered for her strong faith, her loving heart, and the quiet strength she showed throughout her life. Her memory will be cherished by those whose lives she touched and the family she loved so deeply. The family also wishes to express their deep appreciation for all those who shared in her care, particularly the 5th Floor nursing staff at Harlan ARH, who cared for her throughout her final moments.
