Herman Wayne Hill (Rodeo), of Lenarue, passed away December 21, 2020, at the age of 65. He was born September 19, 1955 in Cawood, Kentucky. Wayne was a truck driver until his disability in 1990. He was an avid country music, NASCAR, and UK basketball fan. He was also a talented musician and singer and drummer and harmony singer for the 1980s band The Gospel Express in Harlan, Kentucky.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Mary (Collins) Noe and Monroe and Edna (Paul) Hill.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, Herman and Virgie (Noe) Hill of Lenarue. His daughter, Christy Cantrell and husband, Rob of Bobs Creek. His son, Jason Hill and wife, Misty of Fresh Meadows. Four grandchildren, Robbie Cantrell, Joseph Cantrell, Savannah Hill, and Luke Hill. Sisters, Belinda Welch and husband Mike of Lenarue, Judy Grubbs and husband, Gary of Cawood, several nieces and nephews and extended family members. Also surviving are the mother of his children and friend, Shirley Hawkins Hill, his best friend Roger and wife, Tammy Asberry and Judy Smith.
Family will abide by Wayne’s wishes and have a private family ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations to be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in honor of Wayne and so many others who have succumbed to the disease. www.ipffoundation.org
