Helen (Childers) Bumgardner

Helen Bumgardner, 72 of Day Branch, KY went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 23, 2023 following a short illness. She was born March 27, 1951 in Harlan County. Helen was a homemaker and believed in the Pentecostal faith. She was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Cynthia Childers; her brothers, Milton Childers and Dink Childers; her sisters, Betty Jean Childers, Lorene Maxewell and Glenda Childers.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Albert Lee Bumgardner Sr; her children, William Glen Bumgardner and wife Ashley, Bert Bumgardner and wife Chasity and Ashley Muncy all of Day Branch, KY.  Her grandchildren, Levi Bumgardner, James Bumgardner, Cody Bumgardner and wife Macie, Destiny Helton, Trevor Helton and Morgan Helton; her great grandchild, Brayden Bumgardner. Her sister, Blanche Posey and husband Dickie of Cranks, KY; her brother, Paul Childers of Harlan; her special friend, Sandy Ray and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive. The family would also like to give a special thank you to Kathy for taking care of her in so many ways.
