Georgia Lee Saylor, 80, of Catrons Creek, formerly of Kenvir, KY went to receive her Heavenly reward of March 19, 2025, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born December 28, 1944, in Harlan County KY. Georgia had been a secretary employed by the Harlan County Board of Education for 16 years. She was a faithful servant of the Lord for most of her life and believed in the Holiness faith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, LC “Red” Saylor; her parents, Silas and Trula Whitehead; her baby sister, Trulena Whitehead; her brothers, Silas L. Whitehead and Jim Whitehead; her daughter-in-law, Karen Jean Saylor and Bill Moore.
Survivors include her loving children, Marty Saylor and wife Peggy, Robin Thomas, Tommy Saylor and wife Loretta, Selena Lewis and husband Bernard, and also an honorary daughter, Patty Lucio. Her grandchildren whom she loved, Daniel Thomas, Jeremiah Saylor, Amanda Saylor, Samantha Johnson, James Ball, Cody Lewis, Chelsea Saylor, Shauntae Eldridge, Patrick Saylor and Leah Baird. She also leaves her 20 great grandchildren who she adored; her sister, Floralena Enix Bledsoe; her brothers, William and wife, Shirley Whitehead, Mike Whitehead and Johnny Whitehead. Also, several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive and a special thankyou to Hospice Nurse Alli Simpson, RN.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 2 o’clock in the chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny McCreary and the Rev. John Luttrell officiating, Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens at Evarts, KY.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 5-PM to 8-PM in the chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home.
