Georgia Loudermelt Obituary

Georgia Loudermelt, 83, of Rio Vista, entered her Heavenly home on July 6, 2021, peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Georgia was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. To know her was to love her and she loved everyone with her whole heart. Georgia showed her love in the kitchen, we will all remember her for the wonderful meals she prepared for many people throughout the years. She worked at the Harlan Daily Enterprise before retiring and doing what she done best, taking care of anyone that needed her.

Georgia is preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life of 60 years, Dallas Ray Loudermelt, her parents George Colvin and Rose Waldrup Colvin, brothers Vinson Colvin, Spencer Colvin, Porter Colvin, Virgile Colvin, Robert Colvin, Leonard Colvin, and her stepson Rick Loudermelt.

Georgia is survived by her son, Dallas Edward Loudermelt and wife Lynn of Cumberland Gap, TN, daughter Jalaine Loudermelt of Lakeland, FL, daughter Judean Moore and husband Jim of Wallins, KY, stepdaughter Julie Maerkle and husband Rick of Ashville, NC. Eight grandchildren, Stephanie Jenkins, and husband Anthony of Baxter, LaMinda Jenkins and husband Todd of Corbin, Denisha Jenkins and husband JC of Harlan, Ian Loudermelt of Cumberland Gap, Racheal Loudermelt of Pineville, Rick Loudermelt and wife Debbie of Williamsburg, Scott Loudermelt of Corbin, and Jessica Duegan of Healdsburg, CA. Nine great grandchildren, Anthony Jenkins (Krista Burke), Taylor Fields and husband Sawyer, Tye Howard, Brady Lawson, Brooklyn Jenkins, Averi Jenkins, Rylan Jenkins, Rae-Lynn Loudermelt, and Madison Loudermelt. One sister and her best friend, Rena Holder of Gainesville, FL and one brother, Ernie Colvin of Robinsville, NC. Two great great grandchildren, Jenna Fields, and Ace Jenkins.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
