George Davis Obituary

George Davis, 81 of Evarts passed away on Tuesday January 25, 2022, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born on June 23, 1940, in Evarts, KY to the late Frank Boyd Davis and Martha Middleton Davis. George was a retired machinist having been employed by the Ohio Pipe Works for several years.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ellen Davis. His sisters, Wilma Brickmoller, Geraldine Grant, Phyllis Phipps. One brother, Harold F. Davis. Three half-brothers, Ed Davis, Marcus Davis, and Elzie Davis.

Survivors include his sister, Linda Malakas of Louisville, KY; one stepson, Greg Bowen of Lawrenceburg, IN, and several step grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Henson & Rich Funeral home is in charge of all arrangements.
