Gail (Howard) Pack

Gail Pack, 85, of Wallins, KY went home to be with the Lord on Monday September 26, 2022. She was born on April 8, 1937, in Wallins to the late Denver and Sabra Long Howard. Gail was a retired teacher having been employed by the Harlan County Board of Education and worked at Belks Department store. She was a lifelong member of the Wallins Christian Church where she served as the pianist.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Scott Irvin Pack, and two granddaughters, Ashley Leigh Bryant, and Scarlett Victoria Sykes.

She is survived by her daughter, Sabra Lynn Purcell of Austin, TX. One granddaughter Melanie Elizabeth Purcell of Austin, TX, and one great granddaughter, Morgan Leigh Purcell. Also, one brother, William James Robert Howard, of Henderson, NV, and two sisters, Nancy Sue Lee & husband Bill of Wallins, KY, and Caroline Howard Saylor & husband Lanny of Morristown, TN. Several Nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends also survive.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday September 29, 2022, at 10AM at Resthaven Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Following the burial there will be a Celebration of Life at the Wallins Christian Church in Wallins.
