GARY HELTON

Gary Helton, SR. 70 of Putney, was born on August 30, 1948 in Harlan, Kentucky and entered Heaven on May 1, 2019. Gary was a US Army Veteran and retired from Bell County Forestry Camp. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleve & Mae Joseph Helton and his wife, Sue Brock Helton.

Gary is survived by his children, Luna K. Helton of Lexington, KY, Gary L. Helton, Jr. of Putney, Kenny and fiancé, Melissa Johnson of Harlan and his step daughter, Teresa and husband, Gary Pace. The mother of his children, Thanh Helton. His grandchildren, Hayley Helton, Gary L. Helton, III., Elizabeth Johnson, Kenny D. Helton, Jordan Helton, Olivia Smith, Katie Pace and Trish Daniels and two great-grandchildren. His uncles Kenneth Helton of California and Howard Helton of Rio Vista. Also, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 11AM until 1PM in the Chapel of Henson & Rich Funeral Home with funeral services at 1o’clock with Rev. Jack Carmical officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with Military Burial Honors by the Harlan County Honor Guard.
