Frieda Louise Perkins, 72 of Harlan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at her home. She was born on February 28, 1949, to the late John Perkins and Ethel Lawson Perkins. Frieda was a loving person, and so many cared for and loved her. She was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan and believed in the Holiness Faith.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life, Bill Powell, four brothers, Nathan, Charles, David, and Danny Perkins SR., and two sisters, Wilma Massingale and Grace Smith.
Those left to cherish her precious memories include her three brothers, John Gerstle Perkins of Somerset, Ky, Linnville Perkins of Bowling Green, Ky, and Marvin Perkins of Somerset, Ky. Two sisters, Faye Jones, and Debbie Dean, both of Harlan. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends, and relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at 7PM in the Chapel of the Henson and Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. Vonny Jones and Rev. Allen Jones officiating. Graveside services will be held on Monday, at 12 PM in the Resthaven Cemetery Chapel with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will also be on Sunday from 5 o’clock until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
