Flora (Hensley) Shell

Flora Shell, 81, of Rosspoint, KY passed away on Monday May 19, 2025, following an extended illness. She was born November 5, 1943, in Harlan County, KY. Flo was a retired educator having taught school for the Harlan County Board of Education and was also a retired Professor at Lincoln Memorial University. She attended Poor Fork Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Merle Shell. Her parents, Charlie & Cora Lee Hensley, one brother, Robert Hensley, & one sister, Betsy Ann Hoskins.

Those left to cherish her memories are her loving daughter, Nicole Neely & husband, Donnie. Two grandchildren, Shalora & Calan Neely; one brother, Terry Hensley, three sisters, Kathleen Burns, Ruby Sutton, & Edith Powel. Several nieces, nephews, relatives, & friends also survive.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 26, 2025, from 11AM-1PM in the Chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2PM at the Hensley Cemetery in Smith, KY with family & friends serving as pallbearers.
