Ethel “Faye” Jones, 74, of Harlan, KY. Went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 13, 2021. She was born February 8, 1947, in Harlan, KY. Faye was a compassionate and caring charter member of the Church of God of the Free People, where she served as the secretary and many other capacities through the years. But most of all she was the one that anyone could go to family or friends, and she would take care of there needs. Faye was also a loving mother and grandmother and one of the best friends a person could have.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Willard Jones; her parents, John and Ethel Perkins; her son, Ivan Willard Jones; her brothers, Nathan, Charles, David and Danny Perkins Sr; her sisters, Wilma Massingale, Grace Smith and Frieda Perkins.
Survivors include her loving children, Vonny Jones and wife Bonita, Allen Jones and wife Sherry, Bertha Cooper and husband Tony, Bridgett Napier and husband Jason all of Harlan, KY. Her grandchildren whom she adored, Vonny Jones Jr, Haley Jones, Melanie Jones, Dillion Jones, Peyton Jones, Chad Hoskins, Ryan Cooper, Hunter Cooper, Trevor Napier, Jake Napier and Mindy Napier. Her brothers, John Gerstle Perkins of Somerset, KY, Linnville Perkins of Bowling Green, KY and Marvin Perkins of Somerset, KY and her sister, Debbie Dean of Harlan, KY. Also, several nieces, nephews, relatives church family and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 3-PM in the Chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with Stevie Jones and Simon Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Harlan County Memorial Gardens at Lay Hill with brothers of her beloved church serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 4-PM to 8-PM in the Chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home.
