Edna Ruth Rigney, 72, of Harlan, KY passed away, Monday, June 27, 2022, at the Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 23, 1950, at Brookside, KY. Edna was a homemaker, a former teacher’s aide at Evarts High School and believed in the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Denver Crider Sr. and Vera Stevens Crider; her siblings, George Crider, Denver Crider Jr., Johnny Crider, Ruby Mae Lunsford, Nannie Rainey, Anna Crider, Maggie Crider and Jeanette Crider.
Survivors include her two children, Bobby Joe Alred and wife, Carolyn of Closplint, KY and Stephanie Mosley and husband, Dan of Harlan, KY. Her grandchildren, Blake Blevins, Jordan “Jo Jo” Blevins, Sebastian Mosley, Jake Alred and Jessica Alred Gibbons and six great grandchildren.; Her special niece, Tabitha Rainey and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 7-PM in the chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Harrison officiating. The family will also receive friends on Wednesday after 5-PM until the funeral hour.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 11-AM at the Brookside Cemetery at Brookside, KY with family and friends will serving as pallbearers.
