Edd Roddy Jr.

Edd Roddy Jr., 78, of Baxter, KY passed away Monday, July 17, 2023, from injuries sustained after a fall. He was born September 7, 1944, in Harlan, KY. Edd had been a coal truck driver and wrecker driver for many years; and believed in the Pentecostal Faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edd Roddy Sr and Bonnie Fee Roddy and his son Terry Lynn Roddy.

Survivors include his granddaughters, Lauren (Tim) Middleton of Harlan and Kayla (Spencer) Turner of Cawood, his great grandchildren, Emersyn and Maddox Turner, Daxton Middleton and a grandson Middleton on the way. His sister, Brenda (Frank) Farmer of Browning Acres; his brother, Jim (Susie) Roddy and his nephew, Matthew Roddy all of Cawood. His stepdaughters, Sandy (Walter Lee) Caldwell of Cawood, Lisa Hoskins of Middlesboro and Teresa (Emery) Green of Baxter. His step-grandchildren, Lee (Jessica) Caldwell, Heather (Jason) Clem, Allie Pratt, Kenneth Jackson, Paige Overton and Bryce Estep. Also, several step-grandchildren, family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 7PM in the chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. Arnold Martin officiating.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 11AM at the Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will also receive friends on Thursday starting at 5-PM until the funeral hour.
