David “Frog” Johnson, 64 of Dayhoit, KY entered eternal rest on Wednesday. July 10, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born February 25, 1960, in Harlan, KY. Frog was a retired coal miner and attended the Kildav Community Church.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Carrie Collett; his daughter, Carrie Faye and his sister, April Parsons Forrester.
Survivors include his father, Charles L. Johnson; his children, Jessica Hubbard Fields, Lacrisha Johnson, Stephanie Johnson, Amanda Stewart, Chris Cox, Kelly Casolari and Austin Miller. His brothers, Charles Johnson and Lynwood Parsons; his sisters, Amanda Bowlin and Michelle Hancock and a very special brother throughout life, Garry Cox and wife Becky. Also, his extended family Shawn Miller and Jerri Hobbs; 19 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 2-PM at the Resthaven Cemetery with the Rev. Jason Mills officiating. Pallbearers will be, Logan Casolari, Brother Fields, Austin Miller, Garry Cox, David Shepherd and Shawn Miller.
