Colby Allen Lawson, a devoted husband to Hannah and the proudest father to Cooper and Nora, passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2026, at the age of thirty-four.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Whitley City, with Bro. Arnold Hammons officiating. Burial will follow on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Barren Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
Colby is leaving behind his cherished family and the countless lives he touched with his infectious smile and generous spirit. Colby’s life was defined by hard work and an unparalleled dedication to his family, who were his entire world. Colby was known for his booming personality and his passion for golf and baseball skills that he happily shared with his kids. Colby taught his children to be brave, to laugh often, and to always say I love you when they parted ways.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mary Snowden and Harold Lawson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Hannah Clem Lawson; his children, Cooper David Lawson and Nora Allen Lawson; his parents, Terry “Tank” Lawson and Monica Lawson; his grandmother, Maxine Lawson; his sister, Brianna Lawson; his mother-in-law, Starr Williams, and a host of extended family members and friends.
Colby will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
