Christopher Powers Blanton

Christopher P. Blanton, 38, of Harlan, KY passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 in Louisville, KY. He was born August 4, 1984, in Harlan. Chris had been disabled all his life and believed in the Pentecostal Faith.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Powers & Ludie Blanton,  and Stanley Logan. His uncles, Driver Blanton, Glenn Blanton, and Johnny Logan, and one aunt, Shirley Blanton.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry Blanton of Harlan. His parents, Caleb Blanton of Cumberland, KY & Tina Bowling (Bobby) of Lynch, KY, two children, Haley Blanton of Cawood, KY and Christopher Blanton JR. of Harlan, KY. Grandmother, Betty Logan of Cawood, two sisters; Tina Marie Blanton of Lynch, KY, and Phyllis Ann Blanton of Hazard, KY; Three aunts, Mossie McClain of Totz, KY, Deborah Logan of Eastbrook, KY, and Betty Gail Logan of Cawood, KY. One uncle, Robert Blanton of Cranks, KY, one niece Amanda Lawson, and four cousins, Driver Blanton JR. of Harlan, KY, Robbie Blanton JR., Summer Blanton, and Caroline Cowan. Several other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 26th  at 4PM in the Chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home. The family will receive friends also on Sunday starting at 2PM until the funeral hour.
