Carl L. Shepherd

Carl L. Shepherd Sr, 59, of Cranks, KY passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at his residence. He was born February 23, 1964, in Melbourne, FL. Carl was disabled from Baxter Metal and believed in the Christian faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Laotan Shepherd, his daughter, Kelly Shelton Brown and his father, Carlos Shepherd.

Survivors include his loving son, Carl “Bub” Shepherd II and fiancé April Howard of Cranks; his mother, Elvie Brock of Baxter;  his grandchildren, Courtney Shelton and husband Hobert Cornett of Harlan, Travis Shelton and wife Sunnie of Cranks, Skylar Shepherd and Riley Shepherd of Cranks. His great grandchildren, Emilynn Cornett, Maddison Shelton and Nova Shelton. His son-in-law, Chris Brown; his brothers, Billy Shepherd of Bledsoe, Jeff Brock of Harlan and Charlie Brock of Harlan.  His sister, Barbara Creech of Harlan, and his special friends, Wes Smith, Isaac Mitchell and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive.

It was Carl’s wishes that there be no services.
