Brenda Pennington, 73 of Richmond, Kentucky formerly of Harlan County, was born on Wednesday, August 9, 1950, at Pine Mountain, Kentucky and entered rest on Monday, August 5, 2024. She was a member of Pook Fork Church of Christ, formerly employed at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital, Howard Mize, Eastover Mining, Harlan Federal Bank and H & L Distributors.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Loretta Lewis and her husband, Glenn Pennington.
Brenda is survived by her children, Ginger and husband, Kai Chapman of Santa Monica, California and Holly and husband, Tanner Lee of Richmond, Kentucky. Her brother, Harold and wife, Elsie Lewis of Baxter and her sister, Sharon and husband, Roger Powell of Deltona, Florida. Her grandchildren, Aya Chapman, Taika Chapman, Steele Lee and Azlan Lee. Her sisters-in-law, Elsie Pennington, Shirley Watts, Doris and husband, Floyd Turner, Joy and husband, David Jackson along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles’ family and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 10th in the Chapel of Henson & Rich Funeral Home at 11AM with funeral services beginning at 1PM with James Forrester officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
